Chad Raube is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Info-Pro. Chad has over two decades of experience as a senior executive, venture capitalist and board member in technology and service businesses. He has a proven capability for scaling companies from small operations into thriving large businesses with blue-chip processes and organizations.
The organizations that Chad has worked as a senior executive with include large companies such as Virgin Media, Comcast, Corning and rapidly moving start-ups, such as US Cyber, Buyer’s Access, Cyberstar New Zealand, and Fibernet. Chad has also been a consultant with iControl and Sand Cherry Associates. Chad’s professional experience has included extensive time in the U.S., United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, Hungary, Bulgaria, Russia, the Ukraine and Serbia.
Under Chad’s leadership, Virgin Media’s (previously Telewest) Internet business, located in the United Kingdom, grew from 0 to 1 million customers and $315M in annualized revenue over a four-year period while winning over 20 “best quality awards” and capturing 75% market share. Chad also led Virgin’s strategy and product innovation efforts, managing a $20M annual budget. As part of Virgin’s 10-member senior leadership team, Chad helped guide the company to eight consecutive quarters of surpassing Wall Street expectations.
Chad was a founding partner at Dawn Capital, a leading venture capital firm based in London with a focus on technology and financial services. At Dawn, Chad led the firm’s media, telecom and technology practice and originated deals in Bathrooms.com, FirstCare, Cognitive Match, and iControl. Dawn regularly participated in syndicates, which included investors such as Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Andreesen Horowtiz and Index Ventures.
Chad has extensive experience as a Board Member, having served on the boards of Bathrooms.com, FirstCare, Cognitive Match, and Orion Telecom, the latter of which was Serbia’s leading alternative telco for which Chad represented the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Orion’s lead investor.
Chad’s current non-profit activities include being a member for the investment committee for Clean Tech Partners and as a judge for the Wisconsin Innovation Awards. Chad’s non-profit activities also include past roles as the Chairman of the Cable and Telecommunications Association of Marketing in Europe (CTAM), the founder and co-chair of the Harvard Business School Angels of London, and a founding member of the Marketing Hall of Legends.
Chad holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a Masters of Science in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and a BA in International Relations from Carleton College, magna cum laude where he was named an All-American Scholar and was a varsity football player.
Chad has been named one of the “100 Most Influential People in the UK Internet over the past 10 Years” by E-consultancy, and in 2007 was recognized by Cable and Satellite Magazine as “One of Europe’s Top 50 Executives in Broadband and Pay TV”. Chad has appeared on the BBC and Sky News, and is a regular speaker at conferences, and has co-authored cases published by Harvard University Press.
